Within the main facility of Ecor International, the area qualified for welding components and systems for the pharmaceutical sector has been enhanced to increase production capacity and focus on quality.

Our enhanced Pharma Area

Our Pharma area now has two highly specialized spaces: an area dedicated to orbital welding in a protected and isolated environment, and an operational ISO 7 cleanroom. In the Pharma area, we weld lines intended for pharmaceutical plants (in contact with the product) that can perform filling, transport, and washing functions. The entire area is isolated from the rest of the production, with an organized flow of incoming and outgoing materials to ensure production efficiency and component cleanliness.

• The area dedicated to orbital welding is structured in accordance with ASME BPE standards, which, where possible, promote the use of automatic welding to ensure high-quality standards.
• The ISO 7 operational cleanroom is a controlled contamination area where welding is performed on critical and delicate components for their intended use, which must not be contaminated. It is a compartmentalized, enclosed area with slight overpressure towards the outside, where personnel wear appropriate technical clothing.

Expertise in orbital welding

Orbital welding is an automatic welding process suitable for pharmaceutical products because, once optimized, it ensures precision, repeatability, and technical quality superior to manual welding.
At Ecor International, we have in-depth knowledge of this technology thanks to our extensive experience, supported by state-of-the-art equipment. To ensure continuous production, Ecor International has equipped itself with twin stations that allow parallel operation on different diameters, ensuring a constant production rhythm and providing backup in case of unexpected machine downtime.

Rigorous quality controls

In addition to this enhanced area, Ecor International ensures process and product quality. Every phase of the production process is monitored: from equipment control with calibrations and maintenance to the skills of welders, which are periodically updated and confirmed with the renewal of the certification by the Italian Welding Institute (IIS CERT).
Before starting production, the welding program is verified by creating representative samples, often requested and delivered by the customer. In this way, the process is validated on the weld joints of the entire production batch. Periodic checks include visual inspections, non-destructive tests, metallographic analyses, dimensional checks, and surface finish tests to ensure that each component meets the highest standards required by the pharmaceutical sector.
