The Ecor International Group invests in youth: training and integration for the industry of the future

The successful collaboration with ITS Mechatronics in Schio leads to shared training pathways for young people satisfied with their role in the company.
For years, the Ecor International Group has been investing in training programs that build a solid bridge between the world of education and the workforce.
In the past three years, 12 students from the ITS Academy Mechatronics in Schio have participated in the Ecor International Group’s placement programs, with 85% of them securing stable positions within the company. This outcome rewards not only the commitment and determination of these young individuals but also the synergistic approach that defines our educational vision.
“We share a growth journey with these young people, taking gradual steps to introduce them to the various aspects of corporate life and the different departments and roles,” explains Antonio Rancan, Business Manager of Aseptic Liquid Packaging. “We guide them in discovering and developing the professional role they feel is best suited for them, ensuring they derive maximum satisfaction from this experience. This, in turn, benefits the company by allowing us to collaborate with motivated and well-trained young individuals who meet our organizational needs.”
In a labor market where, in 2023, nearly one out of two businesses struggled to find qualified personnel, the metallurgy industry has been particularly affected: the difficulty rate in sourcing talent in the sector exceeds 57% (data from Union Camere-Anpal, Il Sole 24 Ore, 29/01/2024).
What, then, are the keys to the successful collaboration between the Ecor International Group and ITS? They can be found in factors such as interest, preparation, collaboration, and experience.
Students who choose an ITS pathway do so with purpose, demonstrating a strong forward-looking attitude and genuine motivation to enter the workforce. This mindset translates into a proactive and dynamic approach from their very first steps within the company.
“I immediately felt it was an environment that values young people, and this was a decisive factor in my choice,” says Andrea Brazzale, a second-year student in the Higher Technician for Process and Mechanical Product Innovation program at the ITS Academy Mechatronics in Veneto. “Even during technical school, I decided mechatronics would be my field, and ITS allowed me to understand how this world truly operates. After a year of alternating school and work and a summer spent in the company, I can say I’ve learned a lot and can clearly see my progress.”
The collaboration between the company and ITS goes beyond the selection and onboarding phases of students. It is supported by constant joint monitoring by both the company and school tutors, with evaluations every six months. This mentoring model ensures that students acquire the technical and soft skills essential for their integration into the company.
Thanks to this mentoring and the Dual-System, which involves three days of classroom instruction and two days of practical experience each week, young people integrate seamlessly into the company processes.
Having completed her program as a Higher Technician for Automation and Mechatronic Systems at the ITS Academy Mechatronics in Schio this past July, Kay Cortiana shares her experience: “The combination of academic training and company internships was a completely different experience compared to traditional studies. I really enjoyed it.
My first experience with Ecor International was three years ago during a summer internship. From that moment, I chose to return here for my internship during the ITS program.
Since last year, I’ve been working on drafting manuals and internal procedures, and recently, I’ve also started working in quality control. Collaborating with various departments has given me a comprehensive overview, which is now extremely useful when writing manuals.”
Through structured collaborations like this one, the Ecor International Group reaffirms its commitment to a future where young professionals, skills, and innovation work together to build the success of the company and the entire industry.
